Robert McPherson, also known online and commercially as “PF,” short for Psilocybe Fanaticus, developed the PF Classic.

The same PF is responsible for the “PF Tek,” a unique method that facilitates easy mushroom cultivation at home without the need for many of the specialized tools used in commercial operations.

The PF Tek method, in short, uses jars to colonize the substrate, then slides the contents out as the mycelium spreads inside.

After soaking the block or cake in water, place it in a growing chamber so that mushrooms will fruit from it.

The PF Classic is a typical small brown mushroom, closely resembling the appearance of a wild Psilocybe cubensis.

The stems are thin to medium-thick, with brown to golden brown caps that open wide. The stem and caps bruise easily when handled fresh, indicating its psilocybin content.
